License & Getting Started
LeadMiner is a licensed application. Each copy is tied to the device it was installed on and cannot be shared or transferred.
First time setup
1
Install the app run the installer file provided by your administrator. On Windows it's a
.exe file, on Linux a .deb file.2
Enter your license key on first launch a license screen appears. Enter the key provided by your administrator. Each key works on one device only and cannot be reused on another machine.
3
Sign in after activation, enter your email address on the login screen. You do not need a password your administrator pre-approves your email. If you see "Email not found", contact your admin.
4
Stay connected LeadMiner requires an active internet connection to work. The app connects to a secure server to process your requests.
Your license key is single-use. Do not share it with others. If you reinstall on the same device, your existing key will still work. To use LeadMiner on a second device, ask your admin for an additional key.
Extracting Emails
The Extract page is the core of LeadMiner. You can pull email addresses from three different sources. After extraction, you can filter, sort, verify, save and export your results.
Source 1 Paste text
Copy any block of text a webpage, a CSV, a directory listing, raw HTML paste it in the text box and click Run. LeadMiner extracts every email and phone number automatically.
Best for: staff directories you copied from a website, exported spreadsheets, email lists you received in a document, or any raw text that contains emails.
Source 2 Scrape URL
Enter one or more website URLs (one per line) and LeadMiner visits each page and extracts all email addresses it finds. You can also control how deep it crawls.
1
Paste the URL, e.g.
https://company.com/about2
Choose crawl depth Depth 1 scrapes just that page. Depth 2 also follows links on that page. Depth 3 goes deeper takes longer but finds more.
3
Optionally add a keyword filter only keep emails found near that keyword on the page (e.g. "sales", "manager").
4
Click Run. Depth 1 results appear instantly. Depth 2 and 3 run in the background and auto-save to your Lists when complete.
Pro tip: You can paste multiple URLs one per line. LeadMiner scrapes all of them in sequence.
Source 3 Upload file
Upload a CSV, Excel (.xlsx), TXT, TSV, JSON or LOG file containing any data. LeadMiner scans every cell and extracts all email addresses found. No formatting required. You can also upload files directly on the Verifier and Sorter pages if you already have a list saved locally.
Extract only filter by email type
Below the source selector you'll find email type filter pills. Click one before running to only return that type of email:
All emails
🌐 All webmail
Gmail
Outlook / 365
Corporate only
ISP / Regional
For example select Corporate only to skip all Gmail/Yahoo addresses and only return business domain emails like
john@acmecorp.com.After extraction
Results appear in a table below. You can filter by type using the pills, sort them, send to the verifier, copy all, or save to a list. Use the Sort and Verify buttons to continue your workflow.
Search Engine Mode
Instead of scraping a specific URL, Search Engine mode searches the web for your keywords and automatically visits the top results to extract emails. Think of it as LeadMiner Googling for you. Searches run in the background so they never time out watch progress in the small widget in the corner of your screen.
How to use
1
Enter keywords describe who you are looking for. Be specific. Include a location and a job type for best results.
✓ Good: "dentists in Manchester email contact"
✗ Bad: "emails"
✓ Good: "dentists in Manchester email contact"
✗ Bad: "emails"
2
Niche filter (optional) only keep emails that appear near this word on the page, e.g. "director", "owner", "CEO".
3
Pages to scan Top 10 is fastest. Top 25 or 50 gives more results but takes longer.
4
Click Start extraction and watch the progress log. The job runs in the background you can navigate to other pages while it works. When done, results are sent to the Extract page automatically.
Best search queries: include a city or country + a profession + "email" or "contact directory". Example: "accountants in Toronto email directory", "real estate agents Sydney contact", "HR managers London email".
The app will warn you if your query is too short, contains only numbers, or has unusual characters. It also suggests corrections for common spelling mistakes.
Pattern Guesser
Know someone's name and their company domain but not their email? Pattern Guesser generates every likely email combination and SMTP-verifies each one to find the real active address. It replaces tools like Hunter.io.
How to use
1
Enter the person's first name, last name, and company domain (e.g.
microsoft.com).2
Click Generate & verify patterns. The app generates 10 common formats like
john.doe@company.com, j.doe@company.com, johnd@company.com etc.3
Results show green for active (SMTP verified) and grey for invalid. Copy the active email directly.
Use this when you know exactly who you want to reach but can't find their email publicly. Works for any company with a custom domain.
Sorter
The Sorter takes any pile of mixed emails and organises them. You can paste a list or upload a file directly (CSV, TXT, XLSX and more), then filter by provider, role, and clean up junk then copy or export the result.
Sort by domain / role
Paste your email list in the input box (or upload a file), choose your filters (domain type, role, cleanup), and click Sort emails. Results are grouped into buckets e.g. all Gmail together, all decision-makers together.
Webmail provider identifier
Switch to the "Identify webmail providers" tab and paste any list or upload a file. The app instantly identifies which provider each address belongs to and splits the results into two columns 🌐 Webmail (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook etc.) and 🏢 Corporate (custom business domains). Each group has a Copy button.
Webmail types identified: Gmail, Outlook/365, Yahoo, iCloud, Proton, Zoho, GMX, AOL, NetSol, ISP/Regional providers, and 50+ other webmail services worldwide.
Verifier
Before sending any emails, run your list through the Verifier. Paste your list or upload a file directly from your PC. There's no size limit - lists of 300 emails or fewer verify instantly; anything larger runs automatically as a background job (checked concurrently, not one at a time), so even a list of hundreds of thousands of emails will finish without timing out. Watch progress in the widget bottom-right and keep using the app while it runs. It checks each address in three stages and tells you which ones are safe to send to.
The three checks
1
Syntax checks the email is formatted correctly (has @, valid domain, no spaces).
2
MX records checks the domain has active mail servers. If there are none, the domain can't receive email.
3
SMTP handshake connects to the mail server and asks if the address exists, without sending an actual email.
Result labels
valid safe to send
risky MX ok but SMTP uncertain
invalid do not send
Use Copy valid to get only the safe emails, or Copy valid+risky if you want to include borderline addresses. Export valid emails directly from the results.
Some mail servers (like Gmail, Outlook) block SMTP checks and always return "risky" even for real addresses. This is normal treat those as valid unless you have other reason to doubt them.
Lists
Lists let you save and organise your extracted emails for later use. Think of them like folders for your email collections.
Saving to a list
After extracting, click Save to list in the results bar. Give the list a name and it's saved to your account. Your lists are stored securely and accessible any time you log in.
Loading a list
Go to Lists, find the list you want, and click Load. The emails are sent back to the Extract page where you can filter, verify, sort, or export them.
Each list shows a breakdown of email types (Gmail, Corporate, Edu etc.) so you can see what's in it at a glance before loading.
Scheduler
The Scheduler lets you set up automatic extraction jobs that run in the background on a schedule daily, weekly, or monthly. Results are automatically saved to your Lists.
Setting up a job
1
Click Add job and give it a name.
2
Enter a URL to scrape or search keywords to run automatically.
3
Set the frequency e.g. Daily 6am, Weekly Monday.
4
The job runs automatically and new emails appear in your Lists. You don't need to keep the app open.
Great for monitoring directories that update regularly set it once and let LeadMiner collect new contacts automatically.
Exporting
Export your emails in the format that works for your sending tool.
Export formats
1
CSV full data email, domain type, role, status, phone. Best for importing into a spreadsheet or CRM.
2
Gammadyne Mailer format EmailAddress, FirstName, LastName columns. Import directly into Gammadyne Mailer.
3
Brevo / Mailchimp CSV EMAIL, FIRSTNAME, LASTNAME. Import directly into Brevo, Mailchimp, or similar platforms.
4
Plain text copies all emails to clipboard, one per line. Paste anywhere.
Export by domain group
Scroll down in the Export page to see your emails split by type export Gmail only, Corporate only, etc. as separate files.
Always verify your emails before exporting for a campaign. Sending to invalid addresses damages your sender reputation.
